Interesting to hear Dan's comments about Classic Rock and compare to what I've heard since the launch of Classic Rock. Personally, I'm a fan of Classic Rock, as any station that grabs it's nuts and plays Have A Cigar-Pink Floyd is fine by me. I just wish the speakers in my '93 Camry were better. Surprisingly, and I hope my GM doesn't read this, I don't miss the jocks. The programming features, imaging with artist grabs, news & 15 minute traffic updates in drive make it sound busy enough. As Dan says, I think it's great that Classic Rock is purely classic rock and doesn't pretend to be anything else.
Also, contrary to Dan's tongue in cheek comments, I've listened to quite a few of these podcasts in their entirety and find them quite interesting. It's great to have access to industry professionals. Keep up the good work.

i agree that sonia would have been a spectacular host of X. i think she is on of our most talented tv personalities and could really do with some more exposure to a different audience.

on the morning show kylie mentioned that simon cowell has the last word on the host and that MN's screentest was great. can't imagine what he' be like but it would have to be good to beat people like soni and darren.

Not Sandilands again. I have had to stop watching anything on 7. It's not enough that they've put him on the talent show, but every commercial break on every 7 program has him prancing and sniping. It's sickening. I thought I could escape him by not watching the talent show, but now every program has him in every commercial. Goodbye 7, I'll come back when he's gone, meanwhile. .... gee, I'm gonna miss Home and Away. He's even infected that program with his poisonous garbage.

I totally agree with Di re the Matty Johns issue. It's such a different scenario. The fact that Ch 7 is funding a show with his name???!!! I just think he should have disappeared for a while to recover from the scandal. Personally, I just empathise with the girl in the story. What happened was unforgivable. I do believe in rehabilitation but this is in a legal sense and to get a show is just horrible. He is profiting from this. An apology just doesn't cut it in this sense.

James Manning you're an awesome interviewer. No matter what I think of Kyle Sandilands this interview was just superbly conducted, mining for gold with the patience of a cobra!!! Ok not that I mean that you're actually as venomous as a cobra but just the observation/listening and then the probing skills, a deer sounds too namby pamby. Now I'm going to trawl through the other interviews.

I have one comment to make - more Michael Idato. Michael was absolutely brilliant. His wealth of knowlegde and passion for all thing television related is truely second to none. Although he does the word "universe". I lost count after 20!!

When will these Triple M losers realise the rot well and truly set in the day they sacked Tony Martin.

Craig Bruce has answers for everything, but the minute they mention Tony Martin, he starts mumbling and fidgeting. And Bullsht he has never heard any of TOny's interviews about Triple M

Everything they have done since sacking Tony Martin has contributed to the failure of that once great network

Sorry I couldn't be a part of this trip down memory lane... mind you, you all said it better than I would have and I would have been a downer probably... unusually for me. Good work. I liked the analysis of industry change. And no jokes about Collette. MInd you I'm only 45 mins in...

Remember that time Collette asked Marc if he spoke French and he said, 'un peut' and she said, 'SCRAMBLED EGGS??'
No? I do.
